Grade recovery is a district mandated option that meets progress monitoring requirements of state law. Grade recovery is an option that allows students to complete/redo work, teachers may have a packet to be completed showing mastery of the standards taught the first nine weeks, or students may complete a district developed computer based course E2020 course.  If students and the teacher choose the E2020 option, once students successfully complete the course, the teacher will be notified and the grade will need to be adjusted in Pinnacle to a 75.

Any student who earned a grade of a “D” or a “F” on their first 9 weeks report card may have the option of participating in Grade Recovery. Two possible options are available.

Option 1: Grade Recovery Contract with the Teacher of Record in “D” or “F” Course:

The student, parent and teacher complete the Grade Recovery Contract. The student successfully completes assignments provided by the teacher whereas the student demonstrates mastery of the standards taught during the first 9 weeks grading period. The student attends a minimum of 4 tutoring sessions after school during the following days: Dec 5-8, Dec 12-15, Jan 3-5. Upon successful completion of the contract as determined by the teacher, the student may earn a maximum recovery grade of 75% C. Student may also complete work at home.
